Here we go- my very first attempt at a wooden ship model! I did a dry build of the hull frame to ensure a nice fit prior to glueing. Used the Airsail balsa cement and the t-pins to properly assemble it and let it cure overnight.
Day 2 + 3
Installing the top “deck” frame was very much the same as the hull: balsa cement and lots of patience. However, it was a bit trickier due to the curvature and required clamping at each point to ensure a solid bond. Also, it had to be done more slowly to prevent cracking. Still, it’s very easy at this point- but it won’t be that way for long.
